Pretty Pinks or Water-Blurred Rocks?

While on a hike, a few weeks ago, these blossoms caught my eye.

So delicate.

In my garden, the pink theme continued.

 Can you imagine the fragrance?

Although I love flowers, I think these watery shots by the lake may be my favourites.

Any thoughts?

  2. I would just love to dip my toes into that clean clear water! It's beautiful...and looks cool and refreshing! The flowers are lovely...the way the light hits the rocks makes them my favorite!

  6. A bouquet of rocks...very nice! I like them best, too, because it makes me feel as if I could go wading and enjoy the cool water.

  7. The look and the Sound of water flowing over rocks is wonderful. We just returned from the Great Smoky Mountains and got to experience both. Also got ticks....icky.

  10. Your flower pictures are very pretty and I love all the pink, but those stones in the water almost appear to be moving! So glad I found your blog by visiting/participating in Mosaic Monday.

  11. Pink peonies say early summer to me, I can appreciate the fragrance you have from them. The first thing I noticed about the rocks/stones is how smooth the water has made them. I collected a bunch on holiday last summer for this reason, I like turning them over in my hand.

  12. Now this is a difficult choice, because I'm a stone collector too. I think I'll have to go for the peonies this time, because I know how wonderful they smell. I don't think mine will bloom this year, their first year, so I'll enjoy yours.

  15. I love your peonies in your garden so beautiful with their delicate hearts of petals. Water is soothing and I love sitting beside it (river, lake, ocean, fountain) but I think flowers give and shine with a special radiance!

  19. Beautiful photos. Yes I can imagine the fragrance of the peonies. I have planted a very fragrant one next to my back deck, and it is such a treat to sit there in the evening with the fragrance permeating the air.
