I Should Be Ironing

I should have been ironing.

Instead, I took a walk outside to check on some of the roses.

I'm a bit surprised they weren't flagging in the heat.
Like me.

I'd linger longer,
but I should be ironing.

  1. I am so glad you are not ironing, these photos are gorgeous. I don't have any roses in our new yard so I really enjoy visiting others gardens. That ironing pile will be there tomorrow anyway...

  3. Beautiful! I love that arbour with the climatis growing over it. Yes, it's definitely too hot here to be ironing. It's 30 deg. right now. I'm cool down here in the office but upstairs it's an oven! Stay cool!

  9. Save the ironing for a rainy day Karen. Gorgeous entrance to the backyard. Can't recall if you've shown the climbing rose before - New Dawn? My two are doing better than ever this year.

  23. Love your first rose on the top here in the dish and the design around about it. Stunning. is it a napkin folded I love roses. Clematis on your valance. Pretty. They are easy to grow as long as you continue to water them I found.

Glad you decided to not iron. A rainny day.

  25. Your clematis is amazing!! I've been a complete failure with that tender little flower!!

Ironing? That's a foreign word to me! If I could scrub a toilet - that would be preferable to ironing. Smelling the roses - of course that's the best choice - you go girl. Leave ironing for another day (or better yet, send it to the dry cleaner or live with a few wrinkles)!

Yes, I shall pass on your request for relocation to the house with the post box. I'm sure they won't mind moving out. :-)

    Wishing you a lovely summer,
