Now that December is here, I'm fiddling about with Christmas decorations. Not a lot of them, just a few little things here and there.
A couple of small poinsettias add a touch of red,
as does a new set of tea towels.
It's a quiet Sunday, just what I need. I hope yours is a pleasant one.
Karen,
ReplyDeleteYour sweet additions for the merry month of December and the upcoming season have indeed arrived quietly and subtly in an already, (from what I can imagine) serene space.
Have a lovely week!

PS: If that first fella is a snowman, he is certainly smartly dressed! I collect snowmen and Santas, and he's adorable!
So, you are just adding a few touches, here and there, treadingly gently on this first day of Advent. We know, however, that the next few days will snowball towards Christmas. I like to take my time and savour the run-up: don't you?
ReplyDeleteHappy first week of December to you.
I love snowmen and deer ... the perfect start of decorating for me! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteA lovely few touches here and there makes all the difference doesn't it. I like your Christmassy header too! xx
ReplyDeleteKaren...I think we are all dabbling in our Christmas decorations today...the weather was good here - we played outside getting some of our last minute yardwork done...but I played in the decoration boxes yesterday and added some seasonal goodies to the house...have fun!

ReplyDeleteWe all need a quiet day every now and then ... I had mine yesterday. And like you I've added a few seasonal items. It's been a rainy day here and one the plus side of 0 Celsius. Enjoy the decorating.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen
ReplyDeleteI like your new festive header, the tea towels are nice and poinsettias are pretty for some extra colour. Is that a snowman or santa in blue at the top?
Judith
Love your snowman, tea towels and the poinsettia, Karen! Great way to start December. Love you new header too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

What a sweet snowman. I like the idea of miniature poinsettias as I don't have a lot of space for one and would love to have one this year. The tea towels are sweet too. I hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteToday was a good day to putter around the house with Christmas decorations here, too. Rain and wind. I added a few things, but I'm in no hurry.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, nice touches. Love the snowman. have a happy week ahead :)
ReplyDeleteLovely festive touches today! Wishing you a happy December, Karen!

Karen, your header is lovely. That shortbread looks fantastic! The poinsettia is stunning - they are SO red!!! And the tea towels - fantastic. (I wondered what that was in your photo mosaic in your header; after reading your post, I know! An early wish for a blessed Christmas, Beth
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteSuch simply, and beautiful Christmas decorations. Love a poinsettia in the house, this time of year, or an amaryllis.
Hope you have a beautiful, and peaceful week.
Warm wishes...
