☀Sunlit Sunday: Season 2, Week #9

Welcome to Sunlit Sunday.

It was beautiful morning for a walk by the lake. The sun was actually shining, which is not something to be taken for granted at this time of the year, at least in my part of the world.

I had plenty of things that needed doing at home, but a dose of fresh air to clear out the mental cobwebs and some time with a good friend took precedence. Wisely so, in my opinion.

The immensity of the lake still strikes me whenever I'm near it.
From this perspective, it might as well be an ocean.

I'm reminded of the following phrase from Anne of Green Gables: "scope for imagination".

There's plenty of that in this scenic spot.

Scope, ideas, possibilities, sunny days . . .
I hope these things are yours in the fresh new week ahead.

  18. Oh such beauty! Are you off of Lake Michigan or Lake Superior? The Great Lakes are so large that when I first saw the ocean while visiting in Florida I wasn't quite as blown away as I thought I would be since I was already used to seeing a great body of water! I think you did the right thing heading out to enjoy the beauty of the day and some "friend" time! Housework is always there and never goes away. I need to get down by the bay and take some pictures. Traverse City is right on two bays that a part of Lake Michigan. It is wonderful to see the sun gleaming off the water!
