☀Sunlit Sunday: Week 5

It's been a little nutty around here.

Too many hours at my laptop for a volunteering gig are leading to a too sedentary existence and a lack of time to spend browsing through blogs. Please forgive me for being slow in getting around to visit you. You know the story of the tortoise and the hare? I'm the hare.

We'll see what the new week brings for this bright spot, Cameo. A few people who indicated an interest in adopting her didn't follow through with applications. So be it. I want someone who truly wants this sweetheart. In sunny news, 6 other animals with the rescue found homes in January!

Your turn. With any luck, linking should work for all of you this week. Please be sure to link to your specific post, as per the instructions below, otherwise it can't be accepted by InLinkz. Have fun visiting each other and enjoy your fresh, new week!

  1. Love that sunshine on the bowl of walnuts! Ha! Things are nutty around here, too, since I'm laid low with some ick. Thanks for hosting!

  2. Hi Karen. Those are lovely sunlit photos of the bowl of walnuts. And, of course, Cameo is as sweet as ever. I'm sorry the adoption didn't go through this past week. I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Keep warm. Can you believe February is starting? January sure went by quickly. Enjoy this new month. Hugs. Pam

  5. Nice detail photos with the nuts.
I would be like to adopt Cameo, she has a wonderful fur. But my cat, maybe, would not like her... and we are to far away. Wish you good luck and a great sunny sunday

  6. Greetings from Greece!

    Good morning, Karen,

So glad to be joining you once again, for Sunlit Sunday. I want to be able to properly visit everyone, when I join, and the past few weeks have not allowed me to do that, but I'm here now!

Cameo is as pretty as a picture, sitting by the window; such a serious look in her eyes! This could easily be a charming portrait, in bright water colours, don't you think? I'm sure she'll be whisked off soon enough by folks who can't wait to provide for and love her, just as she has been in your care.

Wishing you a cozy and sunny Sunday! Have heard it's quite cold the past few days; stay warm!

    Hugs,
    Poppy

  7. Hello Karen.
The sight of your bowl of walnuts is very inviting!
Sweet Cameo, she is so patient, waiting for the right personal to come along, she may be secretly hoping she can stay with you!
Don't apologise Karen, I have times when I'm too busy with work and other things and unable to visit many bloggy friends - everyone understands.
Thank you for hosting Sunlit Sunday, I always enjoy taking part!
    Hugs
    Shane

  9. Great pictures of the nuts but Cameo steals the show. It is not an option because we live far too far away, but I should like to have her, she has the same look as our already long ago deceased Molly. Wish you lots of success to find a happy home for her!

  16. We had a big bowl of walnuts around for a while too. They didn't long. Miss S learned that it's hard for her daddy to refuse an offer "do you want to crack some nuts?" Glad you found some sunshine, and thank you for hosting this blog hop again.

  27. Bless you for helping animals! Recently I was reminded that animal abusers can appear reasonable - until they are out of your sight! It is a great idea to tell adoptive pet parents that a follow up site visit is part of the process. The abusers might skip a beat and reveal themselves. A heart rending tragedy might be avoided by this little trick! Thanks for all you do. Fond ALOHA from Honolulu
