Actual sunshine was noticeably absent this morning. Again.
Yesterday, I took a walk and watched some chickadees, merrily darting about. That shed the gloom. Today, I offer up a few painted sunflowers.
They are on a plate that hails from Mexico, a gift many years ago.
Now, there's a place with sunshine!
Now, there's a place with sunshine!
Hang on a second!
Is that "le soleil" trying to make an appearance in the kitchen?
Yay!
Need a stronger dose of sunlight? Me too. See below!

Not a lot of sun here today, so I used a photo from earlier in the week. Even that little bit of sun lifts our spirits doesn't it? Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen
ReplyDeleteRather cool here today but still lots of sunshine. Hope the flowers brighten your day.

Oh, I hope we get some sun tomorrow! I'm so tired of gray skies.

I also had to catch a photo earlier this week. Sure enough no sun today, just wind and snow flurries. Love the pictures of the little one. Blessings to you and family.

I just stumbled upon your blog - I love the idea of the 'sunlit' theme! I have posted a great Sunshine Chicken recipe here and will put a link from my blog back to yours with my next post later this week - thanks :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy to have the sun back again, even if there is the odd rainy day to remind us of exactly where it is we live!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing I like better in high summer, than a big bouquet of sunflowers!
Even though I live in sunny southern CA my house can be dark on winter days because of the way it is laid out. Today is finally sunny and I can turn all the lamps off.
ReplyDeleteHappy sunny Sunday
ReplyDeleteand I wish you a nice week
Lovely sunlit post....Mexican items are so cheery!
ReplyDeleteI should have commented when I was here before, but I was in too much of a hurry to get linked up! I think your sunflowers are just the thing for another grey day!
ReplyDeleteI really love the sunflowers, I joined your site, will come back and visit often. I live in the Deep South, been grey days here too! Hugs, Lynn
