Maybe the grey days are finally getting to me, but I had the urge to spend some time outside and allow the February breezes to blow the cobwebs from my brain.
I headed off to one of the local conservation areas, camera in hand, for some fresh air, a good walk and some photos.
For now, I'll show a few of the Black-capped Chickadees I spotted. I love their cheery "chick-a-dee-dee-dee" song. Even a non-birder like me can identify it!
The walk was time well spent.
I felt better for having taken it,
for getting a little exercise
and for listening to the tuneful birdsong.
Do you have a favourite way to clear your head?
I'd love to hear your ideas.
A Reminder: Sunlit Sunday will be ready for your links tomorrow at 7 pm (EST). I hope to see you then! Many thanks to those who have participated over the past five weeks.
The pictures of the chickadees are so cute. I love those little birds. I tried to get them to come to my feeders this year but mostly got sparrows.
ReplyDeleteI think I need a good walk to clear the cobwebs from my brain. I seem to be in a fog lately.
Have a great weekend.
Great photos...love those chickadees! You did a great job getting shots of them! They flitter and flutter so fast it's hard to get a picture of them!!
ReplyDeleteI too love to get outside to clear my head in the fresh air!
Blessings,
Gert
Hi,Karen

Have a great weekend!

Beautiful photographs of lovely birds.
ReplyDeleteI would like to get out and clear my head too
but we are having very heavy rain here in Ireland today and not a sign of sunshine
oh well better than the dreaded white stuff!
Take care and enjoy your weekend

I love watching the little chickadees on our property. They flit here and there and are so lively. When I need to clear my head, I often take a walk.

Hi Karen
ReplyDeleteYou have done exactly what I do to clear my head; get out and appreciate what Mother Nature has given us. The birds will always lift your spirits with their song or funny antics of courtship or eating.
When DH and I go for walks, I drive him crazy stopping to admire gardens or watch the birds. :-)
See you for SS.
Judith
The chickadees are such friendly little birds aren't they. I'm sure they watch me fill the feeders and then call out to their friends. You got some great shots on your walk. I try to go for a daily walk around the garden to get fresh air and listen to the sounds of nature.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the lovely birds!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Greetings Mette
