It's been ages since I've posted and time is flying by quickly. I still have my foster cat, Mya. I don't think I mentioned -way back when- that she was diagnosed with a tumour last November. All things considered, she's doing well. As it happens, the animal rescue group I volunteer with had a Gala last night to raise funds for our rescue work with dogs and cats. It's not often I get out of jeans these days so that was certainly an occasion to do so.

Hi Karen! Good to hear from you. Your flowers are beautiful; I especially like the combination with the red tulips and daffodils and hyacinth; and the purple tulips. We have a tulip festival in a small town near us as well. Such beauty! Happy spring!

ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung here, too! The primroses are startin' to do their thing and the rock cress smells SO pretty and Peep #1 has to call lawnmower guy to pick up the lawnmower for its annual checkup. PURRS.

Nice to know that your animal rescue group had a fundraiser... and it sounds as if it was successful too.
This time of year, it's so hard to pick just one favorite flower, esp. after a long winter. However, it puts a giant smile on my face to see the creeping buttercup blooming again. It's one of my most favorite old fashioned plants.

Hello Karen, so nice to see a post from you! I agree with you about the delight of spring bulbs. Tulips are what's in bloom here just now, and the lilacs and wisteria. It's getting to be more and more colourful out there. Your top tulip photo is gorgeous.

I haven't been out to tidy the garden yet although I've removed the leaf mulch but there are dandelions and errant poppies to clean out very soon! Have a good week. ReplyDeletep.s. a few weeks ago, we rescued a cat who lost a back leg due to an accident with a window blind cord. He is adjusting well but it is taking time with one of our five cats to "like" him! lol

Welcome back. The Spring blooms are gorgeous. I hope Maya will be okay. Our kitty, Dottie has a tumor in her mouth. It's slow growing and doesn't seem to bother her to much. She's 17 years old so having it removed now just doesn't seem like such a good idea.
