Late summer.
I'm not rushing headlong into the next season, just yet.
Rather, I'm enjoying these days
of whispered scents from roses still in bud and bloom.
Morning glories are in their prime
and mirthfully meander and mingle
with other lavenders and blues in the garden.
I will enjoy the rich, warm colours of autumn when they arrive later.
For now,
I'm drinking in the luscious late summer days.
I'm pleased to be linking with Judith at Mosaic Monday.
Thank you for your visit and comments.

My morning glories (afternoon glories!) are finally grabbing on to everything in reach! I'm happy to see you enjoying the last of summer. It's just beautiful here, in the 70's. Just give me two more months of that!! :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Stunning colours and photos, Karen! So beautiful. I don't have a lot of colour in the garden now which is rather sad. I need to get more fall bloomers. :) Have a wonderful week ahead.
ReplyDeletegorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! so much lovely color. Happy Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat great mosaics...pastels are perfect!!!!...:)Jp
ReplyDeleteI have made no secret of being done with the summer garden work. With flowers as gorgeous as yours I could be persuaded to hang on a bit longer. You have created some beautiful mosaics that are soft and sweet.
ReplyDeleteAll my favourite colours Karen and artistically shared. My ideal transition into autumn includes burgundy, deep purple and golden tones. The weather has been cooler but pleasant lately hasn't it, except when it's been raining cats and dogs!
ReplyDeleteThank you linking to Mosaic Monday.
So pretty!

Beautiful late summer colour. I'm not a fan of the traditional oranges and browns of autumn and keep my pink and blue flowers going as long as possible. Your roses are gorgeous. Enjoy these late summer days. Autumn will be here soon enough.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful macro mosaics of your late summer pretties, dressed in pink, lavender and blue - such a lovely combination of colours for their summer costumes.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!

Hello Karen
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling of wishing the fragrance from the end of Summer roses will carry you through the Autumn and Winter months.
I'm loving you rose pictures and the blues - I feel I must plant a morning glory plant this Spring - that blue is wonderful and it will compliment my pink roses in the garden.
Wishing you a happy weekend!
Shane
