I still have a centrepiece I received in December. The carnations are long since gone, the Christmas balls removed, but most of the greenery remains and few more pinecones were added to what is now a winter arrangement.
On Thursday, it was time to breathe deeply and enjoy a hike.
There were some wooden bridges,
sunlight through the trees,
a long creek,
and even an old log cabin.
It was a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours.
The images from your hike were fabulous! Glad you got out and enjoyed it. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI imagine it was nippy Karen, all the same it is great to get out in the fresh air and have some exercise.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise cabin fever could set in!
Beautiful woodland and still snow about I see.
Love the bridge and old cabin .
Thank you for hosting Sunlit Sunday!
Shane
The photos are absolutely dazzling - and I love the little log cabin - it would be fun to fix up and serve tea to friends and family.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful hike you had, Karen! There is so much sunshine in your photos and feeling of winter turning to spring. We hope to have that kind of views next month.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting Sunlit Sunday! Have a lovely new week!
What a nice walk! The winter can be so beautiful, especially on pictures...
ReplyDeleteHave a sunny sunday
What a bright and refreshing walk! Our winter here has just been wet and muddy so to see crisp snow reminds me of what winter should look like! Thank you for hosting Sunlit Sunday, I have been able to join in this time as the sun came out for a little while to shine on the blossom here. Have a wonderful week ahead xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous walk to go on in the winter! Very cold I am sure, but still great to get outside and get active I am sure, also very beautiful to see which is always lovely isn't it. Thank you again for hosting, I know I have said it before, but I do so appreciate this link up and all that it brings! xx
ReplyDeleteMy first time linking up, thanks to Amy above. Thank you for hosting. I am grumbling that is blustery and windy here, but you have snow, still rather beautiful and Fresh even if it is cold.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos ! Looks lovely there in the forest I love walking in the woods so peaceful and pretty ! Our snow has all gone now and the temps are spring like just don't know how long this nice warm spell will last though . Thanks for sharing , Have a good week !
ReplyDeleteBeen raining for a few days here. No sunshine. I don't walk good in the snow so don't have as many snow shots as I would like. Yours are beautiful. Sure no sun in Central Ky. today. Blessings this week.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place for a winter walk Karen. We have very little snow here at the moment and the trails are probably a mess and icy so we haven't been out at all. We can't even snowshoe or snowmobile! Have a great week. Pam
ReplyDeleteI think the shadows on the snow are amongst the most beautiful winter images!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Donna. Winter lends it's own cheerfulness as we anxiously await Spring...:)JP
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful walk in the snow and sunshine!
