A Peek into the Garden

Thank you for stopping by My Little Home and Garden.

As always, I appreciate regular readers, new visitors, and those who choose to leave a comment.

Today, I thought I'd share a few photos of what's blooming.

Those of you who have known me for awhile may recall that I've been house hunting.

There's been no progress on that front.

However, that means I get to enjoy the garden.

Makes me wonder if I really want to move . . .

My favourite thing,
in the early summer,
may well be the arbour,
with rich, purple clematis blooms
and sweet-smelling New Dawn roses.

This is the view from the driveway. It makes me happy to see the arbour and the hodgepodge of plants and shrubs nearby.

Drop on over, we'll walk through, sit in the garden, and chat.

I'm pleased to be linking with Claudia's "A Favorite Thing" .
Also, thank you to Bernideen for her invitation to "Open House" this week.

  5. Good Evening Karen, My word, your arbour is beautiful and such a wonderful greeting when you turn in to your driveway and see it in all it's glory. You must have a warm glow in your heart every time you see the arbour. The roses and clematis which cover it are so beautiful and then to look further into your garden to see the Hydrangea in bud, well just lovely and is that Yellow Loose Strife that I see?
I can understand why you are wondering why you are wanting to move, as your garden looks so beautiful.
    Best Wishes

  8. I don't know Karen, all those beautiful flowers nicely landscaped - maybe you should stay there in that house? We had to cut back our New Dawn in the spring so no flowers for us yet. Your arbour is magnificent with the roses and clematis.

  9. Gorgeous! Can you take the arbor and its flowers with you? :) Maybe its good you don't move yet so that you can enjoy your garden a little longer. Timing is everything and I believe in what is meant to be. I'm sure what ever is meant for you will be. In the meantime, enjoy your gorgeous surroundings!

  16. Hi,Karen
Your garden is so bright! From your photos, I can see you have a beautiful early summer. I like all of your flowers; especially the pale pink roses are lovely.

Dry rainy season is here, but suddenly we had a heavy rain yesterday, which caused landslides in south of Nara prefecture.

Hope you enjoy coming new weekend.

  25. That New Dawn *sigh* - how lovely! I've been unable to grow peonies here in the woods, so am always happy to visit a peony bed in photos.
