☂ Travel Snaps, Part 4: A Rainy Day in Toulon

C'est moi, with one more installment of travel pictures from last November.
As you can see, it was a soggy day in Toulon, France!
Even so, it was a beautiful place with many meandering pedestrian streets.

When walking down an alley, my friend and I stumbled upon the striking mural, on the right. The left hand photo shows my "striking" outfit for the day, très chic.

The pink coverup was borrowed, once it became apparent that my jacket was somewhat water repellant rather than waterproof. My umbrella had already blown inside out several times before admitting defeat. Given I had only one day to explore, it was time to slap on a smile and get on with it!

Similarly, despite the weather, the morning market continued, adding some welcome colour -but not pink.

☂  It was a wet and windy, yet wonderful day!  ☂

I am happy to be linking with Little Red House for "Mosaic Monday".

A Little Footnote:
Should you need a bit of sunlight after this sodden post, I hosted my first "Sunlit Sunday" link-up event this weekend! Yup, brand new!
There is still time to participate, if you wish, as posts may be added until Wednesday. You can read all about it (and visit those fabulous folk who are participating) here.

  1. Somehow, rain in Toulon is so much more agreeable than rain in Canada!

  6. What a wonderful day in Toulon this must have been, despite the weather. I will try to put something together for your Sunday linking party. I am sure I can come up with something as sunlight is my favourite muse.
